Companies House interim paperless filing service

Companies House has created an interim paperless filing service for limited companies and limited liability partnerships to file their documents online during this coronavirus outbreak.

The interim paperless filing service allows you to download the Companies House form, type the information directly on to the form and saved it. Then you upload the form to Companies House website.

The interim paperless filing service is for accepting Companies House forms that do not already have an online option.

For Limited companies

Company accounts submission

You may use the existing webfiling service to submit your company accounts quickly. Do not use this interim paperless filing service for this purpose.

Companies House allows companies to extend their account filing deadline for an additional 3 months during this coronavirus outbreak. For this, you must apply for the extension online. Do not email Companies House to ask for an extension.

If you do not apply for an extension and your accounts are filed late. You would receive a late filing penalty.

Similarly, you can also use the existing webfiling service to submit your confirmation statement and to register changes to your company i.e. appoint new director etc.

You can also use the existing webfiling service to close your company if you are no longer want to keep it.
