Appoint director for your limited company is straight forward and your new director appointment must be registered with Companies House within the statutory reporting time period.
A private limited company must have a minimum of one director and the appointment must be a person director.
Whereas for a public limited company, plc must have a minimum of two directors. One of them must be a person director and the other one can be a corporate director.
Who can be a company director?
Your person director is going to hold office as your company director must be at least 16 years old of age and must not already be disqualified to take on the responsibility as a company director under the Company Director Disqualification Act 1986.
Change of director’s personal details
Your company must inform Companies House if there are any changes to your director personal details. For person director, a change in his/her home address, service address or surname is required to report them with the Registrar of Companies.
Similarly, if there is a change in corporate director’s registered office this information must be communicated with the Registrar of Companies.
Generally, any changes to your director appointment, resignation and personal details are to be included in your company’s confirmation statement.
