The UK government imposed a 2 weeks self-quarantine requirement for all travellers arriving in the UK. This self-isolation rule takes effect from 8 June 2020. This measure is put in place to prevent the import of the COVID-19 into the UK. You can read the guidance on how to self-isolate here.
You must complete the public health passenger locator form (online) 48 hours before you travel to the UK. You must provide your details on your arrival in England.
You may be refused permission to enter the UK if you are not a British citizen. If you do not provide your contact details or do not self-quarantine for 2 weeks when you arrive in the UK on or after 8 June 2020, you may be fined.
In England, if you do not self-isolate, you can be fined £1,000. If you do not provide an accurate contact detail declaration and/or do not update your contact detail form in the limited circumstances where you need to move to another place to self-isolate, you can be fined up to £3,200.
