Companies House provides the facility to follow companies for free to the public. All you have to do is to search the company you are interested in. Then click the green button – Follow This Company.
Thereafter, you would be asked to register with companies house by providing and confirming your email address.
Following that, Companies House will send you an activation email to the email you just gave. Once you activate your email you are good to go. You must do this within 24 hours otherwise you would have to re-register with companies house.
With this service, you will get instant updates from Companies House if the company registered a transaction. For example, the company submitted its confirmation statement or its company accounts. Subsequently, you will get an email alert of this transaction with a link to the filing history where you can download a copy for free.
Likewise, you would receive an email alert when Companies House remove a transaction from the companies you followed.

Most importantly, you can use this service for extra security to prevent your company from being hijacked. If someone attempted to change your company’s registered office address, you would get an email alert straight away. You must report this fraudulent transaction to Companies House as soon as possible.
